SAMB has represented and promoted the interests of the bakery trade in Scotland since 1891. The Association believes that it is an integral part of each members business operation. As such it can be called upon to provide a valuable source of advice.

of the bakery trade in Scotland. The Association believes that it
is an integral part of each members business operation. As such it
can be called upon to provide a valuable source of advice.
SAMB has over 500 members organised into a network of six
regional branches. Each member is able through the SAMB to access a
wide range of professional services and benefits. These include
- Advice on wage rates and other conditions of employment through
SAMB's involvement in the collective bargaining machinery for the
Industry.

- Information on technical and legislative developments
- A wide range of training activities involving the Association's
team of training advisers. These range from Skillseeker programmes
for young people to European Social Fund schemes for adults.
- A route to access and influence the Scottish Executive, the

Standards Agency Scotland.
