Showcasing Scotland's food and drink
The London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games offer an unrivalled
opportunity to raise the profile of Scotland's outstanding food
& drink culture.
It is a unique occasion to showcase the superb products that are
abundant in Scotland, boosting local businesses and giving millions
of visitors from around the world a taste of the country's natural
larder.
Scotland Food & Drink, in partnership with Scottish
Enterprise, has been encouraging food & drink companies to
apply for contracts by registering on the Compete For portal, the
one-stop-shop for all Olympic opportunities www.competefor.com.
We have also been actively engaged with Tier 1 contract caterers
to help companies access the supply chain including leading
foodservice operator ARAMARK contracted to provide core
dining catering in the main Athlete's Village, home to 17,000
athletes and officials.
