Supplying Food & Drink to the Public Sector Seminar: Perth

Have you ever thought about supplying schools, hospitals or local councils but wondered how to go about it and what it would mean for your business? If so, this event in Perth is for you.

Supplying Food & Drink to the Public Sector Seminar: Demystifying the Process takes place at Perth Racecourse  from 9.30am to 2pm on Wednesday, 6th October 2010.

Scotland Food & Drink, in collaboration with SAOS and the C2 Project, is pleased to offer a FREE seminar that promises to demystify the whole subject of supplying food and drink to the public sector. This is a must-attend event for anyone interested in new market opportunities.

The public sector in Scotland spends around £130 million annually on food and drink and, contrary to misconceptions, it is possible for both large and very small companies to access this market and capitalise on opportunities that will help them grow.

The seminar follows a successful inaugural event in Aberdeenshire which proved to be highly informative for food and drink companies:

“I did enjoy the seminar and was impressed with the speakers. It was especially good to get the views of a supplier who has gone through the whole process and come out the other side smiling”. Simon Leigh, Community Food Initiatives North East.

“The various speakers helped to reassure us that the efforts involved in applying for public sector contracts are worthwhile and there is assistance for any companies that think this area of supply is only for the big guys. One of those meetings I was glad to have attended and will help our business in the future”. Keith Whyte, Mitchells

The October seminar, chaired by Robert Graham, managing director of Graham’s The Family Dairy, will include top speakers from organisations including the NHS, Councils, Scotland Excel and food and drink companies that have successfully won public sector contracts. There will be plenty of time to have your questions answered and we are also pleased to offer a networking lunch.

In addition, there will be an opportunity to find out how Scottish food and drink businesses can win contracts for The London Olympic Games and Paralympic Games 2012 and Commonwealth Games 2014.

The event is FREE to all Scottish food and drink companies.
