As with last year, the food festival team have made a key focus on Scottish food and drink as well as welcoming a few producers from neighbouring, Cumbria.  With a backdrop of 35 unique and diverse food producers, as well as street food, the demonstrations, workshops, hand-ons sessions, kids interactive resource are, challenges, and even a very Scottish ‘Addressing Of The Haggis’ competition sponsored by The Robert Burns World Federation and Hamlyn Oats, the festival is sure to provide attraction for all of the family.

With a programme that’s bursting with great tasting food and drink, inspiring special guests, a whole host of fascinating demos and workshops and some seriously good challenges!

We’ll have everything from native and rare breed meats to locally crafted gin; from award winning pies to locally produced free-range milk.

You can learn how to shuck a scallop and taste the deliciousness inside, refine your kitchen skills in a cook school session or watch Scottish spice king Tony Singh work his magic with local delicacies.

There’s plenty of hands on foodie fun for little ones too – including parent and child cook school sessions and our new lunchbox makeover workshop!
