Scotland Food & Drink have been proud to manage Scottish
Food & Drink Fortnight since 2009.
The Fortnight promotes the wealth of produce available,
encouraging people to discover and enjoy the quality food and drink
produced in Scotland. The initiative helps to build the country's
reputation for excellent produce and is celebrated across the
country in many ways including special events, festivals and by
individuals in their own homes.
The Fortnight encourages the food industry - from restaurants to
retailers and caterers - to source and champion quality Scottish
produce in order to raise awareness of and support the people who
produce our food and drink. People will be encouraged to support
the Eat Scottish pledge and make a conscious effort to eat more
local produce.
Dates for the Fortnight have been set as 1st-16th
September 2012. There are countless ways to support the
Fortnight and it is an excellent promotional tool to be exploited.
Participation can be tailored entirely to the needs and activities
of your business, including highlighting the local produce used,
running competitions on Eat
Scottish, special events or promotions.
To discuss involvement and ways in which the Fortnight can
benefit your business, please contact Sophie Fraser by email or by calling 0131 3350952. Further
information on the Fortnight can be found on www.scottishfoodanddrinkfortnight.co.uk.
