A globally competitive industry requires a wide range of skills,
knowledge and expertise. Working closely with skills, training and
educational bodies, Scotland Food & Drink will develop
significant leadership and management development programmes, as
well as provide access to specialised expertise.
Our goal is to develop the reputation of the food and drink
industry as an employment destination to bring a new generation
into this vibrant, growing and exciting industry. To do this,
Scotland Food & Drink supports Improve (the food and drink
sector skills council) and recognises the need for business-led
skills at all levels, particularly in management.
The
Skills Working Group is
chaired by Jack Matthews and its priority areas are to create a
Scottish Fellowship in Food & Drink Leadership, to create an
MSc in food manufacturing and support the creation of a Skills
Academy.
