Bruce Farms, based in Perthshire, produce soft fruit, peas, beans, blackcurrants, potatoes, cereals and pedigree Charolais cattle.
The Bruce Family has been farming in Perthshire for four generations and their connection to the land has remained unbroken for more than a century, (est 1898).
Bruce Farms is one of the country's leader suppliers of soft fruits and its award-winning products are distributed throughout the UK, primarily through Berry Gardens.
Producing fine soft fruits since 1996, Bruce Farms grows and packs an extensive range of delicious Scottish strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries. These can be found in national retailers including Marks & Spencer and Tesco.
Additionally, The Bruce Brand is its own quality range of premium grade strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries which are used by some of the UK's leading chefs from Andrew Fairlie to Heston Blumental. The range is also stocked in selected retailers and prestigious food halls including Harrods. All this soft fruit is grown in Perthshire, carefully handpicked by highly trained staff and packed at the farm's BRC-accredited packing hall.
The Bruce family also work with some of the UK's leading food and drink producers. Bruce's Blackcurrants have grown on the land for more than 30 years with the majority of the crop going to GSK to produce Ribena. GSK hand selects its suppliers and Bruce Farms is one of only four Scottish farmers supplying the global giant.
But Bruce Farms is more than just fruit. The family has been growing peas and broad beans for more than 50 years and produce almost half of Scotland's annual production with the support of 150 landowners in Perth, Angus and Fife.
Bruce Farms is the only Scottish supplier of peas for Birdseye and as such have invested heavily in technology to ensure full control over every stage of the production process.
Its potatoes flourish in one of Scotland's premium potato growing areas, all of which are sent to Albert Bartlett in Airdrie to pack and distribute to all the major UK multiples - including the famous 'Rooster' variety.
As traditional farmers, Bruce Farms continues to maintain its own herd of pedigree Charolais cattle which have been bred on the farm since 1959 and the 'Balmyle' herd is one of the most prominent in the breed.
