At British Bakeries Glasgow the site manufacturers Bread & Morning goods products. The major products which are produced at the site are Mothers Pride – Plain bread, Hovis Farmhouse products, Hovis classic, Hovis wholemeal.
The morning goods which are produced are rolls, finger rolls, Potato scones & Soda Scones. The site services all Major multiples such as ASDA, Tesco, Somerfield, Morrison's, M&S, Sainsbury's & Co-op as well as Cash and Carries & local newsagents / delis. The site manufactures 70,000 tons of bread per annum operating across a 24x7 operations. The site manufactures across 363 days per year, only closing on Christmas day & new years day. The products which are manufactured on site have a shelf life of 6 days with all products capable of being manufactured, made daily. The site manufactures Branded products such as Hovis & Mothers pride (75%) but also produced own label products for the Multi-national retailers (25%) The site delivers 85% of its product to the regional distribution centre located at Euro Central who then distribute to all our Scottish customers.
