C Fayre is owned and run by John Watson who has been in the business for 34 years.
He prides himself on being one of the few Fishmongers left to still hand fillet the majority of his fish on a daily basis.
John's customers come from a wide area due to the extensive variety of fish and shellfish that he supplies.
Quality is his main concern, so to add to his fresh fish he has sourced an excellent range of poultry, all free from growth promoters and antibiotics. There are also cooked chickens freshly roasted at his shop daily.
John also deals with a well known local butcher, McCaskies of Wemyss Bay, who supply dry cured bacon and hams (very popular). He also stocks Roxys tartare sauce, a great a compliment to any fish dish, and a range of smoked salmon from Loch Fyne.
There is also hot smoked salmon, smoked trout pate and smoked salmon pate from Fence bay Fisheries of Fairlie.
Finally, from the Fairlie Moors, is the beautiful honey supplied by John Tyler.
