The Wee Restaurant

Just six miles along the coast from The Wee Restaurant, the dining room at the Aberdour Golf Club offers spectacular views across the Firth of Forth with panoramic vistas including the Bass Rock and Inchcolm Abbey, making it an exceptional spot to enjoy a relaxing drink or meal.

Craig commented: "Our regulars know that Vikki and I are always up for a challenge, and we can’t wait to aid the new team at Aberdour. We aim to deliver quality, local produce that will be prepared daily, as well as fantastic service."

The Woods will also be introducing a short but varied wine list to complement the existing bar.

The Wee Restaurant sits neatly under the north end of the Forth Rail Bridge in the charming harbour village of North Queensferry. As the name suggests the restaurant is small with just 40 covers.

Opened in 2006 by husband and wife team Craig and Vikki Wood, the restaurant now has a loyal following and the couple's vision to serve simple, seasonal food in a relaxed atmosphere is proving to popular.

Craig previously worked in some of the country's most respected kitchens including Restaurant Martin Wishart, the Royal Scotsman luxury train and the Crinan Hotel where he was head chef.

As a hands-on chef-proprietor, he is passionate about the quality of the service and the food offered in The Wee Restaurant. Craig believes that food is at its best when cooked simply, and his kitchen’s techniques are designed to complement the produce and enhance their natural flavours.
