Border Biscuits Comments on Excellence Award

Lanark-based Border Biscuits, which last week was awarded the Best Bakery and Cereal Based Product category at the prestigious Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards for its new Gourmet Goodness range, has expressed delight at the win.

The team at Border Biscuits received the award at a glittering ceremony at the Doubletree by Hilton Dunblane Hydro Hotel, hosted by BBC 2 food expert, Nigel Barden.

Known as the Oscars of the Scottish food and drink industry, the awards were judged by a panel of industry experts and journalists.

Border Biscuits was one of only 20 winners selected from a shortlist of over 50 of the country’s finest food and drinks businesses.

Building on its 25 years of expertise, the highly specialised team at Border Biscuits took three years to develop the Gourmet Goodness range to ensure the best quality recipes and unrivalled depth of flavour.

The range spans six varieties and blends wholesome ingredients such as fruit, seeds and nuts within an indulgent biscuit.

The new Gourmet Goodness range adds to the successful Classic and award-winning Deliciously Different ranges, all produced in Scotland by the Lanarkshire based workforce.

The Gourmet Goodness range is available in 175g packs in six flavours including: Pecan & Maple Syrup Granola Cookies; Blackberry & Apple Crumbles; Tropical Fruit Crumbles; Red Berry Rascals; Yogurt Cranberry & Pumpkin Seed Crumbles; and Raspberry White Chocolate & Pistachio Crumbles.
