From mid-July, the Edinburgh eating and drinking venue will be called No.12 Picardy Place, showcasing a new look following investment to refurbish the interior.
As sponsor of the VIP tent at this year’s Taste of Edinburgh (1-3 July), the venue will give guests the chance to experience its new offering in advance of the official launch. The rebrand moves No.12 Picardy Place in line with other venues in the Brown Taylor Group, including 99 Hanover Street, Edinburgh and 99 Bar and Kitchen, Aberdeen.
Comprising Restaurant Mark Greenaway, The Cocktail Bar, The Secret Garden and The Boutique Hotel, the new-look venue will continue to offer guests some of the best food and drink in Scotland in sophisticated and luxurious surroundings.
In addition to the VIP area, the Brown Taylor Group will also run the main bar at the show, which will be operated by its new events division, Show Me Fun, set up by TV presenter and entrepreneur Phil MacHugh.
Restaurant Mark Greenaway will also be one of 15 restaurants in this year’s stellar line-up. No.12 Picardy Place managing director, Barrie Brown said: "Creating a strong brand which sits alongside our other venues has been a key focus for the brand, and one which makes perfect sense.
"This has been in the planning for some time but when we were approached about Taste of Edinburgh 2011 we couldn’t have hoped for better timing or a better platform to launch.
"We look forward to treating Scotland’s foodies to the No.12 Picardy Place VIP experience in July."
Justin Clarke, Taste Festivals director, said: "It is important for us to offer our guests a memorable Taste experience and we are delighted to have No.12 Picardy Place on board this year.
"They have some really exciting new ideas and will add a huge amount of value to the visitor experience."
