The company, the dedicated Scottish catering division of Sodexo Prestige, services a range of leading venues including Blair and Glamis Castles, Hampden Stadium, Aberdeen Football Club, Hamilton Park and Perth Racecourses, the National Galleries of Scotland, and the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. For the year to date the company is predicting sales will be £1 million more than last year.

Summer sales will be a boosted by a series of high profile concerts at venues serviced by Sodexo Prestige Scotland, such as Take That at Hampden on June 22-24, Rod Stewart at Aberdeen Football Club on June 5, and Westlife at Hamilton Park Racecourse on July 23.

Last year, the company appointed Amanda Brown to grow its conferencing and banqueting business and the company is seeing strong growth in these areas across Scotland.

Austin Tilsley, Sodexo Prestige Scotland’s regional director, said: “The full year forecast looks very strong and the summer months ahead are looking exceptionally busy for us.

“We are currently looking to increase our overall sales by £1 million this year and in this very tough environment we believe this is a fantastic result which gives the business strong foundations for the future. We have been working very hard with our clients to understand their needs and put the correct structures in place. Appointing Amanda Brown as national accounts director has been important for us and retaining many key talented members of staff has been a key factor in our ability to win more business.”

Between April and September, the company hopes to provide 100,000 hospitality covers, serve 500,000 pints of beer, provide 250,000 meals to visitors to tourist attractions, and cater to 150 weddings.

Highlights for the year include an increase in conference and banqueting sales at Hamilton Park racecourse, events business up at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, overall business up at Aberdeen, and sales for the events business as a whole have improved by more than 20%.
