Connage Highland Dairy is a traditional, family-owned, fully organic dairy farm which produces a range of top quality, artisan cheeses that have been winning awards since 2007. Callum and Jill Clark make the cheeses on the family farm from home-produced milk.
Although Castle Stuart Golf Club is already a loyal customer, Amadeus catering will also be using a range of Connage cheeses in the Barclays VIP hospitality tent for the tournament as part of its commitment to using produce local to the golf links.
This adds another feather to the cap of a suite of cheeses also stocked in Harrods.
Jill Clark said: "We were pleased when we heard that the Scottish Open organisers were keen to work with local food and drink producers and ecstatic when we heard that they definitely wanted to use our cheeses.
"We are really proud of all of our products but it’s great to get extra endorsement and to know that some of the world’s best golfers will be sampling what we produce.
"It’s hard work when you run your own business and the golf will be no different but for this fabulous event we need to deliver the cheeses every day between four and six in the morning.
"But it’s certainly worthwhile for us and hopefully also for the people who get to taste our cheeses."
