September has been chosen as ‘Charity Month’ for the Robert Wiseman Dairies Black and White range of fresh milk cartons.

For the entire month, the iconic brand will feature eye-catching designs from the National Osteoporosis Society, British Trust for Conservation Volunteers (BTCV), The Blue Cross animal charity and Action on Hearing Loss to help them raise awareness of the work they do for communities across the UK.

This space is worth over £85,000 (the cost of purchasing the equivalent space on packs, Spiritmedia July 2011) to the charities involved.

With a 19.1% rise in sales last year, the Wiseman Black and White range is one of the fastest-growing food and drink brands in Britain, according to a recent survey by Neilsen for The Grocer.

For the charities involved, being associated with such a successful brand and having their message appear on these special-edition packs of the Black and White range presents a real opportunity to highlight their campaigns to a large audience and for some, raise funds through a text to donate mechanic.

Sandy Wilkie, East Kilbride-based Wiseman's sales and marketing director, said: "Donating this space on our iconic Black and White range of fresh milk gives these charities the means to help communicate their message to millions of people in shops and homes across Britain.

"For our customers, these eye-catching designs help highlight to consumers that they have fresh milk in store, as well as refreshing the look of the fixture and helping these worthy causes all at the same time."

Kate Kew, the National Osteoporosis Society's community and fundraising manager, commented: "The Wiseman Charity Month packs are a great opportunity for all the charities involved to help raise awareness of their work and potentially reach a new audience.

"We are delighted to be involved and can’t wait to see the packs in stores."

The Charity Month packs will feature on whole and semi-skimmed 500ml and one-litre cartons throughout September.
