Glasgow Restaurant Association (GRA) and 120 guests were blown away by raising a whopping £10,000 at a Gourmet Gala Dinner which took place at 29’s The Supper Club in Royal Exchange Square on Sunday night.

The annual event, part of the GRA’s ‘Who gives a Fork’ campaign for Maggie’s Cancer Care Centres, was also the launch event for the Glasgow Dinearound for August.
Special guest and big Maggie’s supporter, River City actress Libby McArthur, picked raffle tickets and presented prizes then congratulated hard-working chefs for a delicious meal.
Glasgow Restaurant Association chairman, Ryan James, said: "The Glasgow Gourmet Gala Dinner has been a cracking success and we are delighted that everyone has spent a small fortune to raise funds for Maggie’s.
"However, bargain hunters should be aware that there are delicious two and three-course meals for only £15.95 per head, including a dram of Glenfiddich as Glasgow Dinearound runs for all of August at 70 participating restaurants."
