Jane Smernicki is the new head of communications at SAC, taking over from Ken Rundle who has stepped back from the management role but will continue working within the SAC communications team as senior communications officer.

Jane joined SAC over 12 months ago and worked alongside Ken with particular responsibilities for policy and public audience outreach.
With a background in news journalism and communications, Jane has played a key role in raising the profile and awareness of SAC’s Rural Policy Centre which analyses current rural policy proposals and initiatives such as CAP reform.
As well as organising the delivery of SAC’s communications programme, Jane will manage the in-house team which produces a wide range of publications and organises events, shows and conferences in addition to publishing a respected website.
