The deal caps a sparkling two-year UK anniversary for the brand, which successfully launched in the US and Spain earlier this summer.

Since its launch in August 2009, the small batch-distilled Scottish gin has established itself as a spirit of exceptional quality – Caorunn is already the third bestselling super premium gin in the UK.

The brand, which is made at the Balmenach Distillery in Speyside, has also launched in seven of the top eight premium gin markets internationally, which include the US, UK, Spain, Italy, Greece, Australia and Germany.

With listings in Sainsbury’s in Scotland, Harvey Nichols and 350 top-end bars throughout the UK, Caorunn has seen a volume increase of 212% in the first six months of 2011 versus 2010.

The brand has also sold three times more than its nearest competitor across the Scottish travel retail sector this summer.

Infused with five Celtic botanicals – rowan berry, coul blush apple, dandelion, bog myrtle, and heather – Caorunn’s crisp, dry taste has achieved international recognition via a string of industry awards.

Following an impressive haul of six gold medals and a prestigious packaging award during its launch year, the accolades have continued to flow.

Among the most recent triumphs has been gold medal wins at this year’s Gin Masters and Monde Selection Awards.

Caorunn has also made its mark across the Atlantic, being awarded a gold medal by the prestigious US Beverage Tasting Institute.

With its distinctive taste it provides an ideal base for elegant cocktails, and its popular signature serve (a Caorunn gin and tonic served with a slice of apple), Caorunn is widely acknowledged as one of the finest super premium gins in the market,

Caorunn’s brand manager, Ibolya Bakos, said: "We are delighted by Caorunn’s achievements to date and look forward to building on this in the years to come.

"Caorunn’s brand heritage, award-winning taste and unique packaging has cemented its reputation internationally as a super premium gin of distinction."
