Taking place during Scottish Food & Drink Fortnight, the Speciality & Fine Food Fair London is the leading trade show for artisan food and drink producers and 2011 is set to be the biggest yet with more than 600 exhibitors.
Scotland Food & Drink is supporting 20 companies to showcase their produce at the event with Ashers Bakery based in the Moray Firth, The Dessert Depot from Ayrshire and Uncle Roy’s Comestible Concoctions, based in Moffat, just some of the exhibitors.
Recent Scottish winners of the Great Taste Awards 2011 will also be exhibiting. They include IceDelight, which produces fat-free, gluten-free, dairy-free but luxuriously fruity iced desserts using home-produced fruit and Your Piece Baking Company from Fife which makes handmade oatcakes, seed and honey bars and breakfast cereals.
Fiona Richmond, access to markets executive at Scotland Food & Drink, said: "We have an excellent list of producers attending the show this year and they will give a strong example of the quality food and drink produced in Scotland.
"Specialty is one of the best-attended food and drink trade shows and should open a number of new doors for the companies."
