Phil Lewis, chef at The Cook School Scotland, and Phil Sinclair, chef at Primavera Bistro, will be on hand to show that two is better than one when they host a series of cookery demonstrations throughout the day in the centre as part of the East Renfrewshire Food Festival this Friday (2 September).

Michelle McCabe, centre manager at The Avenue, said: "Everyone knows that two is twice as nice as one – so we’re delighted to be able to offer visitors a real ‘double philling’ on Friday when our chefs start to rattle those pots and pans."

Budding Jamie Olivers, Gordon Ramsays and Delia Smiths should take note that the sessions will take place at 11am, 12 noon, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm.

The Avenue offers shoppers an alternative to the sprawling trolley-dash shopping culture with a comprehensive range of outlets offering a warm and welcoming shopping experience, conveniently located on the outskirts of Glasgow city centre.
