This topical conference comes at a time when companies need to focus on their customers’ needs more than ever to tough today’s tough economic climate. This popular event returns for a sixth year to Scotland’s capital, bringing eight leading speakers to share their invaluable insights.

The UK Customer Experience Conference was masterminded in 2003 by Bob Downie, Chief Executive at The Royal Yacht Britannia, which has been named Scotland’s top visitor attraction by VisitScotland. He realised the importance of putting the customer at the heart of your business and initiated this event to bring more awareness and importance to the subject in Scotland. Since then the conference has grown in popularity and delegates attend from a wide range of companies, representing all industry sectors.

Bob Downie states: “How you manage your customer experiences will determine what competitive advantage you have and is therefore critical to the long term success of your organisation.”

Eight experts will be speaking at this year’s conference: Gav Thompson (O2), Ellis Watson (formerly SyCo Entertainment), Sally Earnshaw (Blue Sky Performance Improvement), Darren Cornish (E.ON), Sarah Barrett (Mears Group), Shaun Smith (bestselling author and speaker), Andrew McMillan (formerly John Lewis), and Keith Jones (Scottish Power).

Chief Executive of VisitScotland, Malcolm Roughead, said: “The UK Customer Experience Conference offers a fantastic opportunity for people from all sectors to gather to talk about the importance of successfully managing the customer experience. Scotland is renowned the world over for its hospitality and warm welcome, so it is fitting that a gathering that attempts to promote excellent service should take place here.”
