Previously owned by South African-born Pete Gottgens, the former 16th-century inn opens its doors this month.
It boasts 25 elegant bedrooms with en-suite bedrooms, a contemporary restaurant, five individual thatched Shieling lodges and two cottage suites.
With its quaint white-washed façade, stylish interiors and location, it is one of Perthshire’s most idyllic locations.
All of the luxurious double bedrooms have been individually decorated and the hotel is presently investing in the latest technology, including wireless internet.
Euan Snowie, director of the Adamo Hotel Group, said: "I quite simply loved the property and the opportunity to acquire the Ardeonaig was irresistible.
"On a commercial basis, the decision was based on the hotel’s fine reputation and we see it as an outstanding opportunity to add another quality hotel to our portfolio."
What is likely to become the flagship of the Adamo Hotel Group, The Ardeonaig will boast a management team, headed up by Rodney Doig, Adamo’s director of operations.
The restaurant, meanwhile, will serve a selection of modern and classic dishes using quality Scottish produce with head chef Ross Miller preparing fresh and exciting dishes.
Rodney Doig, who has held international executive positions in some of Europe’s finest hotels, said: "The Ardeonaig has all the components and potential to become a restaurant and hotel of real distinction.
"I look forward to developing a fine hotel in an exceptional destination that is admired for its fine food, its superior accommodation and, most importantly, for its warmth of character and meticulous hospitality. I am also looking forward to creating one of the finest wine lists in the country.
"My first step in the programme of development has been to appoint Ross Miller as head chef.
"Ross, who has worked previously with The Champany Inn and Martin Wishart and prior to that with the Michelin-rated Roux brothers at La Gavroche, will represent one of the key members of our new team and will be fundamental to setting the standard across each and every aspect of Ardeonaig."
Heading up the hotel operations will be recently appointed James Payne. "James, who has a wealth of experience including latterly Skye’s Three Chimneys and Kinnaird Country Estate, brings an enormous degree of skill, knowledge and personality to the team," Doig added.
Euan Snowie said: "We look forward to opening Ardeonaig on Friday, 9th September and offer a warm welcome to clients, old and new."
The Adamo Hotel Group also owns and operates hotels in Stirling and Bridge of Allan.
