To celebrate the campaign, MSP Christine Grahame is visiting Whitmuir's award winning restaurant on Monday for her Fifty Mile Breakfast - organic oats, local organic milk and honey, organic farm eggs, bacon, haggis and sausages with our own bread and jam - made on the farm using their won organic soft fruit and organic wheat.

All throughout the campaign, Whitmuir will be promoting Fifty Mile Food Hampers for their customers. These are packed with food grown within a 50 mile radius of the farm and in many cases grown on the farm itself.

Whitmuir the Organic Place rear and butcher all their own beef, lamb, pork, mutton and turkey.  They also grow up to 32 varieties of organic vegetables and soft fruit and collect free range eggs from their “hens with attitude”.  All of this is sold through an award winning shop - best organic retailer in the UK - and cooked in their award winning restaurant - food for life Gold Standard.

The Feed Your Family From 50 miles campaign takes place during Scottish Food and Drink Fortnight and is inviting people to try feeding themselves with locally grown and produced food -whether it is for one meal, one day or the full two weeks.
