The supermarket is inviting consumers to tell it about their favourite Scottish food and drink products so if you have a local product that deserves to win the title of ‘Best in the British Aisles’ you can nominate by simply logging on to www.tesco.com/local.
You could win £500 of Tesco Gift Cards by letting Tesco know about your favourite Scottish product. It could be anything from your local area: meat, cheese, fruit and veg, speciality foods and even beer or spirits.
It could be a regional delicacy, a Scottish icon, or perhaps a family firm whch uses its wealth of experience to produce great quality products.
This competition is a first for Tesco whic currently stocks over 1500 Scottish products and works with over 150 Scottish producers.
Lynne Roxburgh, Tesco regional marketing manager, said: "We have a great range of quality Scottish products from the Shetland Isles to Dumfries & Galloway available in our stores, and we’re keen to hear what it is that people love about them."
The ‘Best in the British Aisles’ is a UK-wide campaign supported by press, radio and in-store activity.
The competition is open to people aged 18 years or over. Closing date for entries is 31st October 2011.
