Situated in Giffnock, Glasgow, shoppers can expect to see many of the features Whole Foods Market stores are known for in the UK, including a full service butchery counter, a fresh in-house bakery and outstanding fresh produce and grocery departments.

Whole Foods Market is "unique for its commitment to natural foods", which are free from artificial preservatives in any form.

The retailer also sells only high-welfare meat and poultry and in Giffnock, its butchers will sell only 100% free-range poultry.

Its commitment to locally-sourced produce also means all of its beef, pork and lamb will be sourced from Scotland.

In addtion, the Giffnock store will host a Whole Body department, featuring natural skin, body and hair care remedies as well as food supplements and nutrition advice.

Shoppers will also benefit from a 34-seat community cafe area, and be able to select a freshly-squeezed juice or handmade pie for dinner from a range of hot and cold food bars.

The store opens at  124-134 Fenwick Road, Giffnock, Glasgow on 16th November 2011.
