From tomorrow (September 21st), The Grill Room at the Square in Glasgow, situated with 29 Private Members' Club, will be serving its new breakfast menu seven days a week, from 8am until 11am.

The menu will offer tasty, healthy options such as porridge, fresh fruit platters and smoothies alongside other breakfast delights including pancakes, a selection of eggs, kippers and smoked salmon.

A full Scottish cooked breakfast - complete with Stornoway black pudding, Ayrshire back bacon, free-range eggs, potato scones, mushrooms and tomatoes - will also be on offer.

But no menu at The Grill Room would be complete without the restaurant’s trademark Certified Beef Steak.

Certified by Quality Meat Scotland, the 8oz Scotch Sirloin Steak, served with two free-range fried eggs, mushrooms and tomato, will kickstart even the very dullest Monday morning into shape.

Says manager Michael Robertson: "It's becoming more common for people to meet for business meetings at 29 early in the morning.

"People can get a lot done and then they are clear to spend the rest of the day in the office without breaking up the flow for meetings. So it makes sense for us to also offer them some delicious food to get their brains and bodies into gear first thing, too."

Executive head chef David Friel adds: "It is true to say that breakfast is by far the most important meal of the day, but for most people it usually includes an uninspiring piece of toast or nothing at all.

"I’m really excited about our menu as it gives breakfast the respect it deserves as a meal, whether you’re heading to the office during the week or planning a day of shopping at the weekend."

Although members of 29 are given priority bookings, the restaurant welcomes bookings from everyone.
