Douglas McAdam, chief executive of Scottish Land & Estates, said: "We are delighted that the Scottish Government recognises that farmers, land managers and fishermen are often the mainstay of fragile rural communities and have committed to continue to provide them with much-needed financial support.
"We realise that funding is increasingly scarce across a range of policy areas in Scotland. The Scottish Government should therefore be applauded for ensuring that supporting the rural economy and rural communities remains at the heart of their programme for office in the years that lie ahead."
Scottish Land & Estates has approximately 2500 members across Scotland. Membership is made up mainly of private landowners and estates with a wide range of landholdings.
Organisations, general rural businesses and professional firms with rural interests are trade and professional members.
