In the heart of the Trossachs, the Roman Camp has been recognised by the AA for its fine dining for 14 consecutive years.
For the first year, it has also been awarded with the coveted red star for its hotel service and facilities.
The AA Hospitality Awards are among the most prestigious national awards of their kind and draw on the unrivalled knowledge and expertise of the AA inspectorate and other industry professionals involved in the judging process.
Winners are selected in recognition of excellence and success within their award category, having shown a significant improvement within the preceding 12 to 18 months and proving their dedication to raising industry standards and enhancing both their guest and diner experiences.
Director of the Roman Camp, Eric Brown, commented: "We are absolutely thrilled to have been awarded the 3 Rosette award which we have received for 14 years running and also the coveted red star award for the first time. This encourages us as a team to constantly strive to achieve more."
Head chef Ian McNaught describes his style simply as modern Scottish cuisine with a French influence.
He takes as much care in his presentation as his cooking, and his innovative combinations reveal an excellent balance of ingredients and consistency throughout all courses. The menus at the restaurant are prepared from locally-sourced, seasonal ingredients and guests can choose from a la carte, five-course tasting or vegetarian menus.
Throughout the year the garden maintains a supply of fresh herbs which are supplied to the kitchen on demand. Ian makes the most of the seasonal produce available locally in creative dishes that have made him renowned throughout the region.
