Three Sisters Bake, the cafe-restaurant founded by a trio of self-confessed food fanatics inspired by their global travels, "will tempt customers with wholesome, high-quality, fresh, colourful and tasty homemade foods in a relaxed rural neighbourhood setting".

The Reith sisters - Gillian (32), Nichola (30) and Linsey (27) - have spent years cooking and tasting their way around the world, working in a variety of eateries, yachts and ski chalets across the world, fine-tuning their culinary skills along the way.

With a strong catering pedigree and chef training behind them, their home economics teacher mother and grandmother, the owner of a sweetie shop, the three sisters have also risen through the ranks at some of Glasgow’s most coveted eateries.

Inspired to open their own dining concept after experiencing the café culture and abundance of relaxed neighbourhood eateries in Australia, the sisters always dreamed of opening a café in their old stomping ground of Renfrewshire.

The 50-seater restaurant will offer an exciting menu of breakfast treats, quiches, homemade soups, sandwiches, colourful salads and mouth-watering cakes, scones and traybakes - all freshly baked on the premises.

Gillian Reith, co-director of Three Sisters Bake, said: "Creating a foodie destination and craft boutique has been our dream since we used to help our gran make tablet for her sweetie shop in Kirriemuir.

"Cooking, baking, mixing and creating foodie delights is in our blood and after a few years on the corporate ladder we all realised that our familial catering talents should really be channelled into our own food destination. There is no better place to make our dream come true than in the place we grew up.

"Renfrewshire definitely needs a stylish cafe and gift boutique. There is no longer room in the market for bland cafes offering poor value in unimaginative settings - customers want more from their local coffee stop.

"With our blend of high-quality home cooking, personality, unique colourful touches and range of local foods, we aim to make Three Sisters Bake a real find in Renfrewshire.

"Three Sisters Bake is a place that we hope will appeal to both locals and those from further afield. Whether it’s morning coffee and a scone, parents looking for homemade baby food for their wee ones, girls out for afternoon tea with Prosecco or couples in the evening searching for a great glass of wine and a light bite, Three Sisters Bakes will offer something for the foodie within everyone."

Three Sisters Bake has created four part-time jobs.
