Macphie will be joining more than 6000 exhibitors from around the world at the show, which attracts over 150,000 visitors from 180 countries.

Visitors to the Macphie stand will have a chance to hear about its latest ready-to-use sweet and savoury sauces, desserts, toppings and fruit coulis, which are used by foodservice operators including hotels, restaurants and bars.

Glenbervie-based Macphie's products are designed to save time, be easy to use, convenient and are extremely versatile, enabling chefs to prepare a selection of signature dishes from one pack.

The firm will also be showcasing its range of high-quality bakery mixes and finishings, which help bakers produce delicious baked goods, including cakes, muffins, brownies, doughnuts and cupcakes.

Macphie managers will be on hand to discuss the latest developments, services and potential new distribution partnerships.

Despite economic recession, Macphie continues to remain upbeat - bolstered by innovation, new ideas and bold marketing. Exports now account for 15% of the company’s £42 million turnover.

Macphie sales and marketing director, Andrew Underwood, said: "At Macphie, we have an experienced export team and we pride ourselves in offering first-class customer service, which has been recognised by winning the Queen’s Award for Export Achievement.

"We have worked hard to establish a network of distributors in diverse international markets. Last year, we exported the equivalent cake mix to produce 65 million muffins to Europe and the Middle East.

"Anuga gives us a great opportunity to expand into other potentially rewarding overseas markets, where we don’t currently do business."
