Stewart Stevenson, Minister for Environment and Climate Change, will address guests at the Awards which take place at the Drumossie Hotel, Inverness on Friday, 21 October. The event will be hosted by BBC Scotland’s popular presenter, Catriona Shearer.
The prestigious Awards celebrate excellence and achievement in the food and drink industry of the Highlands and Islands. Everyone involved with the industry is invited to attend the glittering prize ceremony and dinner.
Ten awards will recognise categories including: best use of local food and drink; healthier food and drink; good environmental practice; innovation; and businesses working in collaboration with each other.
Others will recognise new products and new businesses, and there is also the much-anticiipated and popular Highlands & Islands Restaurant of the Year Award.
Meanwhile, two leading lights in the food and drink industry have been shortlisted for the Young Ambassador of the Year Award.
The Awards are organised by the Highlands & Island Food & Drink Forum, and are supported by Highlands and Islands Enterprise.
With strong competition amid a larger entry field than previous years, the shortlisted businesses and organisations demonstrate the top-quality produce available in the Highlands & Islands.
