As previously reported by Scotland Food & Drink, the main aims of the conference are:

  1. To showcase local food producers
  2. To highlight the problems faced by food producers and small food retailers
  3. To share solutions that those in business have already discovered or created
  4. To help the further education sector to engage with Scotland’s food and drink industry
  5. To provide a unique networking opportunity for those passionate about food and drink in Scotland
  6. To engage with Business, SDS, Scotland Food & Drink and other key industry bodies

Opening the conference is James Withers, the newly appointed chief executive of Scotland Food & Drink.

Other speakers include Jane Stewart (Anster Cheese), Fiona and Nikki Pollock (Ardross Farm Shop), Alex and Jane Nicol (Spencerfield Spirit Company) and Michael Clark a former hospitality student from Elmwood College. The event will be closed by Toby Anstruther, chair of the Fife Food Network.

Workshop discussions will also focus on a range of topics on the needs of the industry.
