Over 230 people attended the Hospitality Industry Trust (HIT) Scotland Grampian Dinner at the Marcliffe Hotel and Spa.

The guests were entertained by the irrepressible Peter Mitchell, local journalist and bon viveur.

Now in its fifth year, the Grampian Dinner has become a "must attend" event for the hospitality industry in the region. So far, it has helped to raise over £75,000 for HIT Scotland’s Emerging Talent scholarship programme.

David Cochrane, chief executive of HIT Scotland, said: "The evening was another great success. The hospitality industry in the northeast of Scotland is obviously in good health and it is important to see support for raising ambitions and standards in the region"

This year’s event was sponsored by Keenan Recycling, B&M Waste Management, Wine Importers Scotland and Printagraph as well the Marcliffe Hotel.

Emerging Talent scholarships provide life-changing experience to help individuals reach their potential and raise standards in the hospitality industry across Scotland.

Applications for this year’s programme close on 30th November and scholarships include working with Michelin-starred chefs and placements in Dubai. For more information on applying for a scholarship visit HIT Scotland.

As well as fundraising through events like the Grampian dinner, HIT Scotland is supported by big names in the industry including Highland Spring, Robert Wiseman Dairies, Caterer.com and Brakes Fresh Ideas.
