Described as "sumptuous and warming", Glenmorangie Nectar D’Òr 15 Years Old is initially matured for a minimum of 10 years in the best ex-Bourbon American white oak casks, then extra matured in ex-Sauternes casks for five years.

As wood is the greatest influence on whisky flavour, it is here, in hand-selected wine barriques from the world’s most prestigious dessert wine-growing region, that Nectar D’Òr 15 Years Old develops its rich, spicy and dessert-like flavours. The whisky is non-chill-filtered for additional aroma and mouthfeel.

Glenmorangie has been built on an innovative approach to whisky-making, having pioneered the concept of extra maturation more than 20 years ago.

This latest release illustrates the constant efforts of Dr Bill Lumsden and his whisky creation team to make the best whisky possible. Maximum flavour extraction during maturation is essential to deliver Glenmorangie’s characteristic taste profile and mouthfeel.

Nectar D’Òr 15 Years Old adds another dimension to the successful Extra Matured Range, which includes the dark intensity of Quinta Ruban (matured in port pipes) and the full-bodied and warming Lasanta (matured in sherry butts).

According to Dr Bill Lumsden: “The result of extra-maturing Nectar D’Òr for an additional three years has improved an already outstandingly voluptuous whisky.

"Nectar D’Òr 15 Years Old is characterised by rich flavours of luscious desserts and spicy oak tannins, resulting from the extra-maturation process."

Glenmorangie Nectar D’Òr 15 Years Old is bottled at 46% ABV and is available from Waitrose and Sainsbury’s at £38.99.
