Edinburgh has an entry in the Clipper 11-12 Round the World Yacht Race, a 40,000-mile ocean race against nine other yachts - each one representing a city or region across the world.
Racing into 15 marinas around the world, the port activities surrounding their arrival will attract significant levels of international press attention adding to the profile of the cities and regions represented.
Project managed by Marketing Edinburgh, the boat is ‘Edinburgh Inspiring Capital’, crewed by a truly inspirational team promoting Scotland's wonderful capital city on a world stage.
With this event comes an opportunity for food and drink producers to work with Marketing Edinburgh to promote their brands both locally and globally.
This is opportunity for Scotland Food & Drink members to utilise, whether it is to reinforce existing international links or to open some doors.
