The Scottish-based company was crowned Bakery Supplier of the Year and Supreme Supplier of the Year.

Tony Moloney, CEO of Enterprise Foods, is delighted with the awards: "We were over the moon to receive the Bakery Supplier of the Year award and to be announced Supreme Supplier of the Year really was the icing on the cake.

"At the core of our business is a real belief in supporting local suppliers and ensuring customers can enjoy high-quality products that have been sourced from their local area."

Enterprise Foods was established in the mid-1990s and now has over 300 bakers on its books from the Shetlands to Cornwall, providing retail and foodservice customers with a national network of local suppliers.

The team at Enterprise Foods provide customers and local suppliers with experienced account management, marketing, operational, technical and admin support along with access to state-of-the-art systems which help to efficiently process approximately 1.5 million electronic transactions per annum.

Michael Baranowski, local bakery buyer at The Co-operative Group, added: "Enterprise Foods have been working in partnership with the Co-operative for over 10 years and across this period we have maintained and developed the supply of over 80 local bakeries direct to Co-operative stores across the UK.

"This has been a great success story for all parties involved and sales have grown continually every year.

"There are further plans to increase the number of stores stocking local bakery as this category is of paramount importance to Enterprise Foods and the Co-operative."
