Food and Drink is a key scetor within the Lanarkshire economy. This award category both recognises and celebrates the diverse range of food and drink products grown, produced or manufactured in Lanarkshire, as well as industry-related services.
It focuses on both the success of the individual businesses and their contribution to the local food and drink sector. Entries will be assessed for innovation, meeting market need, ongoing business or service potential, and their overall contribution to enhancing the food and drink profile of Lanarkshire.
The categories in the competition are:
- Lanarkshire's Best New Business
- Lanarkshire's Best Small Business (50 employees or less)
- Lanarkshire's Best Business (51 employees or more)
- Lanarkshire's Best Green Business
- Excellence in People Development
- Lanarkshire Food & Drink Award
- Enterprising Third Sector Award
- Lanarkshire Tourism & Leisure Award
- Lanarkshire's Most Innovative Business
- Digital Communications Award
All Lanarkshire businesses and organisations are eligible to enter as many of the nine categories as they wish to. The closing date for all applications is Friday, 25 November 2011 at 12 noon.
Winners of each category will be announced at the awards dinner on Friday, 2 March 2012. To enter, simply download the application form for the relevant category(ies) you wish to apply for.
