Iain said: "Although the country is in deep recession, the quality of what we produce is just not affected because at times like this, consumers treats themselves to high-quality produce.

"Entertaining at home has never been more popular and delivering great quality to your guests is so important.

"The Velvet Truffle is quite unique with its texture and flavour profile with cocoa from Sao Tome, combined with Scottish cream from a local dairy at Crieff, and gives a perfect end to the meal."

Iain is used to achieving a high standard and consisitancy with his products since it is a requirement when supplying such a demanding clientele as Michelin-starred chefs and five-star establishments such as Claridges, The Lanesborough, Gleneagles and restaurants including as the 3 Michelin Star Gordon Ramsay Royal Hospital Road, to name just a few.

With quality at such a high level, it was no surprise that international markets would inevitably beckon and in the last few months, the business has also expanded into export by supplying Japan, Oman, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Germany while China and the USA are also being considered.

Since the brand was launched over five years ago, awards have been accumulating including countless nominations in food and tourism-related events.

"The unique concept of what we have created in Scotland, let alone the UK, with a truly exciting product portfolio and the addition of The Scottish Chocolate Centre, gives us an unrivelled position in the gourmet market place," said Iain.

"It is so satisfying to continue doing something you love, pleasing so many people and also winning such acclaim from your peers, all at the same time."

Products are available at Harvey Nichols in Edinburgh, The Food Hall at McEwens of Perth and online.
