Scottish SPAR wholesaler CJ Lang & Son has appointed Jason MacLeod to the newly-created role of fresh foods sales executive.

The move is aimed at demonstrating the Dundee-based company's commitment to growing fresh food sales.
MacLeod has moved into the position following four years with the distributor as field sales executive, when he was responsible for developing sales in the Glasgow area.
His new role has been created within CJ Lang's independent division to speed up fresh foods' sales growth and to improve Scottish SPAR convenience stores' reputation for having a comprehensive fresh foods range.
MacLeod will produce and help to implement plans for fresh food development and training programmes.
He will also conduct competitor audits to identify areas for growth within the SPAR Scotland fresh range, work with the sales and development teams to develop fresh foods during store fit-outs and refits, and manage fresh food training inductions for all new stores joining SPAR Scotland.
