Stirling Management Centre Chef in BCF Final

Stirling Management Centre's chef Raymond Thomson has been named as one of 10 finalists in the The British Culinary Federation's (BCF) Chef of the Year competition.

The finalists were selected following a cook-off held earlier this week at the University College Birmingham. They will now go on to compete at the BCF Chef of the Year 2012 final, taking place at Hotelympia in London next month.

The other finalists are: Sheldon Fonseca (The Dorchester, London), Byron Franklin (Pembroke College, Cambridge), Colin Layfield (Paramount Restaurant, London), Carlos Martinez (Cliveden House, Taplow), Adam Simmonds (Danesfield House Hotel, Marlow), Adam Smith (The Ritz, London), Dez Turland (Saunton Sands Hotel, Braunton, North Devon), Michael Tweedie (Lucknam Park Hotel, Bath), Simon Webb (Restaurant Associates, Merrill Lynch, London).
