A fine array of fresh Scottish produce will form NFU Scotland’s Annual Dinner, taking place at the Radisson Blu, Glasgow on Monday 6 February 2017.
Wed, 01 Feb 2017
The fantastic menu boasts produce from across the country, from haggis and clap shot for the starter, to Scotch Beef and shin for the main course, and apple tart, ice cream and toffee sauce for the dessert; accompanied by artisan cheeses, chutney and oatcakes to round off the delicious fare of prime Scottish food.
Diageo – a global leader in beverage alcohol with an impressive collection of brands across spirits, beer and wine – is the pre-dinner drinks reception sponsor for the event once again.
NFU Scotland Chief Executive Scott Walker commented: “Every day of the year our farmers are working hard to produce the high-quality food and drink that is available right on our doorsteps. This year’s annual dinner is once again a celebration of that passion and enthusiasm.
“I am particularly grateful to the companies throughout Scotland who have sponsored or supplied the produce for this year’s dinner. I know that our Scottish farmers take immense pride in what they grow and produce, testament to the thriving food and drink industry we have in this country.
“I am very much aware that consumers, here and abroad, recognise and value the provenance and quality of the food we produce here in Scotland, something that the Union will continue to champion.”
